This has to be one of my favorite disco inspired mixes I’ve heard in a long time. Fifties‘ excellent choice of tunes and brilliant mixing helped her built a solid reputation for herself in Northern Ireland and is now set to conquer the international DJ scene.
Released on Tronic, Beluga is a techno inspired track that I bet is going to be heard at Ultra. We are actually compiling a list of tracks that we think are going to highlight this year’s WMC – so stay tuned for more. Check out the video of Secret Cinema aka Jeroen Verheij.
This Mix was a bit of a different Musical excursion for me… Memoirs is a big Soundscape of a Mix… An Ambient/Progressive/Nu-Age/Trip-Hop Mix inspired by the Music I used to listen to before I discovered Electronic Dance Music, whilst taking in elements of the more Progressive type of music I listen to now featuring more contemporary tracks by Max Cooper, James Holden, Nathan Fake & Ulrich Schnauss. Inspired by the likes of Pink Floyd, the Orb, FSOL, Mike Oldfield etc, I also took inspiration from the Bladerunner Soundtrack by Vangelis. Very futuristic, quite dreamy, very trippy this Mix Best listened to with the Volume up and the lights switched off… Let the journey begin…(Citizen K)

Issam Skalli drops Traphik 009. Riddled with lyrics and dark overtones, this mix will buckle you down and blast forward. This set rides the full spectrum of emotion, starting with the incredible “Paradise Circus” which blends beautifully into the one and only “Use Somebody” remix by Tong & Rogers Wonderland. This is then followed by an incredible middle portion that will surely bop your head once or twice. Be sure to check out the tight work at the end of the mix, a nifty mash-up mixed into “Moan”. -A truly enjoyable experience from start to finish.
You can’t help but dance to ‘Drop The Dow’ – Very groovy with in and out vocals to give it a funky taste. Also a great track to mix into; perhaps a delay on the synth would do it . Round Table Knights are a Swiss Electro duo that are currently touring the globe showcasing their techy-electric sound. ‘Drop The Dow’ is released in Calypso EP under OneLove Recordings. Here is a disco-age video of their release.
