Justin Sheppard

Few DJ’s can say they have accomplished so much in the beginning of their careers as Justin Sheppard.  Having an innate musical talent, Justin was born of his father Rick Sheppard, one of the original singers in the hit Atlantic recording group The Drifters, and his mother an entrepreneurial business genius.  It was destined that his career would follow suit.

Originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Justin grew into the music scene quickly after college, and was known as a regular “club kid” at most clubs.  It was his love of music that enticed him to move to Miami in 2003.  A couple years after becoming a well known local south beach clubber, he decided to follow his heart and delve into the DJ craft in the spring of 2006.  Just two short months later he was offered his first gig opening for Deep Dish protégé Cedric Gervais on Sundays at Miami’s hottest club Suite, achieving much respect right from the start, in this difficult industry.

Fast forward to the present… Justin has become a staple in south beach nightlife after helming a 2 year residency at Suite Nightclub, becoming a resident DJ with The Opium Group, performing at the hottest clubs such as Mansion, Prive, Set, Louis, LIV, Mokai & Hed Kandi Lounge Miami, creating and producing the wildly infamous Versace Mansion Pool Parties as well as being the head resident DJ and creator of the #1 pool party in South Beach, The RX Pool Party at The Gansevoort South Hotel – Plunge Rooftop Pool.  Not to mention his other major US & International residencies that include Dominican Republic, San Diego, L.A. & Pennsylvania, amongst others… the list goes on and on.  He has also performed along side many other superstar DJ/Producers such as Gabriel & Dresden, Armand Van Helden, Kurd Maverick, JJ Flores, D.O.N.S., Dennis The Menace & Big World, Lee Cabrera, Disciple, Granite & Phunk, Junior Sanchez, & Dirty Vegas to name a few.  Whether it’s entertaining the likes of Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina, or performing with celebrities such as Ludacris, Justin has done it all in three short years and now rocks numerous clubs and events around Miami regularly.

Influenced by the likes of Daft Punk, Desyn Masiello, Erick Morillo, Sasha and BT, he is putting his degree in Computer Science to the test, producing music that is soon to make major waves in this vast sea of house music.  Stay tuned and follow this young man’s budding career, because rocking dance floors until the wee hours of the morning is just the beginning….
